I am a lover of the Low-country, changing seasons, and being outside with my husband Andrew, son Brigham, and Airedale terriers, Porter and Scout.
I believe in movement, touch, repetition and the power of language. Decades of work in a hospital setting uniquely qualify me to treat feeding and swallowing disorders. I am trained in the Lindamood-Bell learning processes and the Orton-Gillingham approach to reading. I am experienced in offering the Wilson Reading program, as well as other, more language-centric reading curriculums. My background allows me to approach speech and language from a technical perspective, with a firm understanding of the neurology and anatomy needed to read, speak, comprehend, and promote scholastic and social success.
I have held certifications in traumatic brain injury specialization and competencies in medically fragile infants, trach/ vent, and advanced feeding and swallowing difficulties.
